INSTRUCTIONS FOR ACTIVITY 1

STEP by step instructions

gtq 250 SQsignpost1

Some quick and easy speaking activities in the Fluency and Memory Training Module: Guessing the Question.  (aka GTQ)

What follows here is a quick step by step How-to-Guide to the Fluency and Memory Activity in which you listen to one answer (perhaps a little difficult), guess what came before, then, read another easier answer, guess again then speak it  into your microphone to check whether you are correct or not.

STEP 1

Click audio button below to listen to a slightly difficultt answer. try to think of the corresponding question.

STEPs 2 & 3

Read another answer below. It’s a little easier than the one you just listened to.  Once again, think of the corresponding question. When you think you know it, click on the “Ask the Question” button then  use your voice.  Feedback is limited, but basically, you will be able to see if you at least got the correct pronunciation and number of words and syllables. Play a little with your pronunciation with TSARIPP aka tone, stress, accent, rhythm, intonation,  pitch  and pausation. Feel the language.

DON’T TAKE THE FEEDBACK TOO SERIOUSLY!!

THE REAL WORK ON YOUR FLUENCY IS CARRIED OUT DURING YOUR BYOD SESSIONS

If you need to say the sentence more than 3 times, consider leaving it and continue onto the next one !
This may be due to any of a number of factors.  Your PRONUNCIATION is the most obvious reason, of course; but it may also be due to limitation of the software, loading speed etc.
